I am so happy that you are here!
Hazelwood is the expression of my lifelong creative journey, and my joy at having found this wonderful place. I have always found a sense of calm and joy when deeply absorbed in a creative project and love sharing my passion and guiding others to discover the mindful magic possible when immersed in their own creative journey. The beauty of the natural landscape that surrounds Hazelwood is a constant inspiration, and I have learnt over the years to appreciate the singular beauty that the different seasons have to offer, and to value them each in turn, a beauty which is always more powerful when shared.
Hazelwood has, and continues to be, many things to many people - it has been a wonderful nurturing retreat space, a film set, witness to parties a plenty, (and even a wedding and a mini 'festival'), a safe haven during lock down and of course, a family home. There are endless possibilities for this little bit of North Norfolk heaven.
As for me, as long as I can remember, I have always been most absorbed and at peace when creating, I see almost everything as a picture or blank canvas - whether that's turning a scrap of fabric into something new, designing a garden or finding 20 ways to use and preserve flowers, I see interesting possibility and beauty all over the place. I have enjoyed 20 years as an interior designer and events planner, and continue to nurture the creativity in my children and friends whenever they give me half a chance! I am excited to continue my own creative journey, and to share this place with like minded souls along the way.
